Commercial Electrician
Summit Service Solutions exists to put skilled tradespeople on the right work—and keep them there. For almost a decade we’ve staffed commercial electrical construction across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. This first-shift role is how buildings get powered: conduit, feeders, lighting, and gear installed to NEC, on schedule, without rework. Your work keeps projects moving and gives our clients a crew they can trust.
Performance Objectives
- Install EMT, rigid, IMC, and flexible conduit—including accurate bends with hand and mechanical benders—so runs match layout and pass inspection the first time.
- Pull and terminate branch and feeder conductors; mount and wire panels, disconnects, transformers, switchgear, lighting, and devices so systems energize correctly.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and one-lines; lay out conduit and coordinate with other trades so the electrical scope stays on the critical path.
- Test circuits and equipment, troubleshoot faults, and correct issues so installations meet NEC and the job does not stall.
- Work OSHA-safe every day: required PPE on, work area clean, and zero preventable incidents on your assignments.
- Show up first shift with tools, transportation, and the output of a journeyman-level commercial electrician so Superintendents request you back.
Environment & Resources
You work on long-term commercial new construction, renovations, and upgrades (typical markets: Carlisle, Souderton, and similar PA sites). You report through Summit’s field recruiting and client site supervision. You supply standard electrical hand tools and OSHA-compliant PPE (hard hat, ANSI glasses, hi-vis, long pants, safety-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection). Pay is $25–$35/hour based on demonstrated skill. Drug-free workplace; pre-employment screen required.
Essential Qualifications
- Five or more years of commercial electrical construction (not residential-only).
- Proven EMT install and bending; ability to lift up to 75 lbs as the work requires.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to follow OSHA and NEC; OSHA card preferred, not required.
- Own standard hand tools and daily PPE; consent to a drug screen.
