Title: Recruiter
Reports to: President
Role Category: FT, Salaried Exempt
General Description: This role focuses on the full recruitment cycle for skilled trades professionals—from sourcing and screening to offer letters, compliance, testing, etc. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, self-motivated, disciplined, detail-oriented and understands the importance of being accessible to candidates outside of standard office hours.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment
1. Source skilled trades candidates utilizing predetermined Job Posting Process.
2. Find passive candidates through direct outreach, referrals, networking, social media, friend / work groups and other channels.
3. As a team, develop and implement new strategies and continuously improve the sourcing of candidates.
4. Execute the recruiting process including:
a. Conducting interviews to assess qualifications, skills, and readiness for placement
b. Record accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
c. Set pay rates within appropriate pay ranges based on predetermined qualification levels.
d. Choosing qualified candidates and send offer letters.
e. Upon receipt of signed offer letter, moving team members to warm bench in ATS.
f. Confirm and notify Operations Manager / HR Department of successful recruitment.
g. Upon request, initiate background and drug screens.
5. Develop and maintain knowledge of skilled trade practices and terminology.
Ongoing Relationship
1. Work with internal Operations Manager to maintain relationships with approved candidates to keep engagement and ensure retention of 50%.
2. Become knowledgeable and maintain knowledge related to open positions as informed by Operations Manager.
3. Recommend qualified candidates for open positions.
4. Initiate and follow drug screening and background check process, as directed by Operations Manager.
5. Check in with placed field workers to maintain their employment and engagement with the company.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
1. HS Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s in related field preferred.
2. Someone that walks into the Office with a Smile every day.
3. Bilingual (English / Spanish)
4. Great Listening Skills, Patience, Honesty, Persistence and Professionalism
5. Strong communication skills utilizing phone, text and email
6. Expert in standard office software (GSuite, Microsoft Office, 2 Years+)
7. Previous Recruiting Experience
8. Ability to work through rejection and negatives with applicants
9. Ability to work in our Lancaster, PA Office (no remote work)
Preferred:
1. Expertise with ATS systems (2 Years+)
2. Familiarity with onboarding of new employees
3. Expertise in employee sourcing methods (2 years+, job fairs, job boards, referral programs)
4. Familiar with the trades and different skill levels for specific trades (2 Years+)
Compensation
1. Salary between $45,000 - $65,000 based on qualifications
2. Bonus available based on recruiting efforts and employee retention
