Commercial/Industrial Electrician

Summit Service Solutions places skilled electricians on long-term commercial and industrial work across Pennsylvania so projects stay on schedule and plants keep running. For close to a decade we have built careers, not just fill-ins. Your conduit, terminations, and troubleshooting keep construction moving and production online—work that matters to clients and communities we serve.

Performance Objectives

  • Install, bend, and terminate EMT, rigid, IMC, and flexible conduit so layouts match prints and pass inspection the first time.
  • Pull, land, and test branch and feeder circuits; install panels, disconnects, transformers, lighting, and devices to NEC and job specs.
  • Commission motors, VFDs, MCCs, and production equipment; wire sensors and field devices so machines start without delay.
  • Read blueprints, one-lines, and schematics; lay out runs and coordinate with other trades to protect schedule.
  • Troubleshoot power and controls with meters and testers; restore equipment quickly to cut downtime.
  • Work OSHA-safe every day: LOTO, clean work areas, required PPE, and drug-free compliance.

Environment & Resources

Full-time, first-shift assignments on commercial construction and manufacturing sites (Carlisle, Reading, Lebanon County, and similar PA locations). You report through Summit’s recruiting and field team to the client’s superintendent or maintenance lead. You bring standard electrical hand tools and OSHA-compliant PPE; sites supply benders, testers, and materials. Pay $28–$35/hour based on demonstrated skill.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years commercial electrical construction or 6+ years industrial/manufacturing electrical work, including EMT bending and conduit installation.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams and to lift up to 75 lbs as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Own basic electrical tools and required PPE (hard hat, ANSI glasses, hi-vis, long pants, safety-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection).
  • Consent to a pre-employment drug screen; OSHA 10 preferred; Journeyman/Master license a plus.

Role Selling Points

  • Long-term, first-shift work—not day labor—with a staffing partner that has 20+ years in the trades.
  • 401(k) with match, PTO, holiday pay, health insurance, and supplemental life/disability coverage.
  • $1,500 referral bonuses and a team that values safety, integrity, and skilled electricians.
