Commercial/Industrial Electrician

Summit Service Solutions has spent almost a decade placing skilled electricians on the jobs that keep Pennsylvania’s commercial sites and manufacturing floors running. This role exists so projects stay on schedule, equipment stays powered, and crews go home safe. You will install, troubleshoot, and commission electrical systems that clients depend on every day.

Performance Objectives

  • Install EMT, rigid, IMC, and flexible conduit, panels, switchgear, lighting, and devices so commercial and industrial work meets NEC and project specs on first inspection.
  • Bend, pull, and terminate feeders and branch circuits accurately enough that layouts match blueprints and other trades can proceed without delay.
  • Connect motors, VFDs, MCCs, and PLC-controlled equipment, then verify voltage, phase rotation, and signal integrity so production restarts with minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot circuits and controls using test instruments and restore operation the same shift whenever possible.
  • Follow OSHA, LOTO, and site safety rules so the work area stays clean and incident-free.
  • Coordinate conduit runs and equipment placement with other crafts to keep the overall schedule intact.

Environment & Resources

First-shift, long-term assignments across Lancaster County and nearby Pennsylvania sites. You report to the site superintendent or client maintenance lead. You bring standard hand tools and OSHA-required PPE; the job supplies materials, benders, testers, and lift equipment. Summit handles placement, payroll, and benefits so you can focus on the work.

Essential Qualifications

  • Five or more years of commercial electrical construction or six-plus years industrial/manufacturing electrical experience, including EMT bending and conduit installation.
  • Ability to read blueprints, one-lines, and schematics and lay out work accordingly.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Physical capacity to lift up to 75 lbs and work in typical construction or plant conditions.
  • Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and supply required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, high-vis, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection).

Role Selling Points

  • Pay $25–$35/hour based on demonstrated skill, with 401(k) match, PTO, holiday pay, health insurance, and supplemental coverage.
  • $1,500 referral bonuses and a 20-year track record of matching electricians to stable, first-shift work.
  • A company that treats tradespeople as career professionals, not interchangeable labor.
