Commercial/Industrial Electrician

Type: Full Time
Compensation: $25 - $35 / hour
Location: Lock Haven, Pennsylvania

Commercial/Industrial Electrician

Summit Service Solutions has spent close to a decade putting skilled electricians on the work that keeps Pennsylvania plants and commercial sites running. This role exists so projects finish on time, production stays up, and every installation meets NEC and OSHA standards. You will own the work from layout through energization—not paper, not promises.

Performance Objectives

  • Install EMT, rigid, IMC, and flex; bend and fabricate conduit so runs match prints and pass inspection the first time.
  • Pull, terminate, and label feeders and branch circuits; mount panels, disconnects, transformers, MCCs, and switchgear ready for load.
  • Connect and commission motors, VFDs, control panels, lighting, and production equipment so equipment starts without delay.
  • Read blueprints, one-lines, and schematics; lay out work and coordinate with other trades to keep the schedule.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair power and control circuits using meters and testers; restore equipment with minimum downtime.
  • Verify voltage, phase rotation, and load; document that work meets NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and site rules.
  • Keep the work area clean, tools ready, and PPE on every day so the crew stays safe and productive.

Environment & Resources

Full-time, first-shift assignments on long-term commercial construction and manufacturing sites across Lancaster County and nearby PA. You report through Summit’s field team to the client’s superintendent. You supply standard hand tools and OSHA-compliant PPE (hard hat, ANSI glasses, hi-vis, long pants, safety-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection). Summit places you, handles payroll and benefits, and backs you with 20 years of client relationships. Pay $25–$35/hour based on demonstrated skill.

Essential Qualifications

  • Five-plus years commercial electrical construction or six-plus years industrial/manufacturing electrical work, including EMT bending and equipment install.
  • Ability to read electrical prints and schematics and work to NEC.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on active jobsites.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen (drug-free workplace).
  • Journeyman or Master license and OSHA card preferred, not required.

Role Selling Points

  • Steady first-shift work with real commercial and industrial projects—not day labor.
  • 401(k) with match, PTO, holiday pay, health insurance, and supplemental life/disability coverage.
  • $1,500 referral bonuses for electricians you recommend.
  • A staffing partner that treats tradespeople as career professionals, not commodities.
